Details are emerging on The Market Hall, the restaurant and marketplace a la Eataly/Dean & Deluca coming to downtown Seattle in early 2015. According to Gina Marie Clemen, general manager of the San Francisco outpost who is heavily involved in the Seattle concept, the space will not have a fresh meat or produce department. But it will have an espresso bar, cheese and charcuterie department, pizza oven, sushi, grab-and-go sandwiches and salads, and a 16-foot prepared food section with grilled meats, pasta, seafood, grains, and vegetables.
Russell Burton, who most recently worked as the Seattle catering chef for Wolfgang Puck, has been brought on as chef for the full-service restaurant opening inside space. The menu is being formed now, but expect a bar and kitchen offering dinner each night, plus weekend brunch.
The Market Hall will be open from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. daily and is on track to launch in January at the Olivian Apartments at 809 Olive Way. San Francisco, San Diego, and Dallas locations are also in the works.
