Capitol Hill cocktail bar Canon has developed Seatout, a new reservation ticketing system. Created by Canon partner Andrew Fawcett, the software is in testing and a version with be on the market soon so that other restaurants, according to owner Jamie Boudreau, "can get out from under the influence of OpenTable, etc." The bar began developing the ticketing system after day-of reservations last year produced a no-show or "excessively late" rate of 42 percent. So far, Boudreau says Seatout has a 100% arrival rate. [EaterWire]
