Last week, Sirena Gelato served its final scoop at its Fremont location. The gelateria usually breaks for the last couple of weeks in December to give its employees holiday time off. This year, the owners have decided to close up their Fremont Sirena Gelato for good and focus on their gelaterias in Bellingham and Kirkland. In fact, owner Robin Ugurlu tells Eater they're planning on expanding their Sirena Gelato in Kirkland and should open up again in mid-January of next year.
The Ugurlus sold to local owners and longtime friends at Fainting Goat. This will be the second Fainting Goat location at 3415 Fremont Ave N and is also slated for a mid-January opening. The folks over at Fainting Goat tells us they are "currently busy at work, in [the] process of redesigning the interior and making it fit for [their] needs."
Hours will likely reflect that of the Fainting Goat in Wallingford: Sunday through Thursday, from noon to 10 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, from noon until 11 p.m.
