A new business called Preserve and Gather is headed to a new building at the corner of NW 85th Street and 6th Avenue NW this November. Owners Kayla Blincow and Tess Smedley are 10-year industry veterans who met while working at The Fat Hen in Ballard.
Blincow and Smedley are planning to sell baked-in-house pastries, light fare breakfast and lunch (think housemade yogurt, granola, toast, and cold salads), as well as meat and cheese boards paired with seasonal pickles and preserves. On the beverage side, expect locally-roasted espresso and coffee, loose leaf tea, and local beer and wine.
The 1,600 square-foot space will seat about 35 people and have an open kitchen and patio.
