What is going on at Marjorie? Owner Donna Moodie is once again looking for a new chef. Larry Monaco, who arrived in late March, left unexpectedly on Tuesday, says Moodie. "We're all good though," she says. "Our amazing sous chef, Jeremiah del Sol stepped right up, and the restaurant is running very smoothly. It was like we didn't skip a beat." Apparently they've also been getting some help from an inspirational soundtrack.
Monaco came in to replace former chef and Harvest Vine alum Kylen McCarthy, who helped Moodie open Marjorie in its new Capitol Hill space last summer, but is now serving at How to Cook a Wolf and cooking on Friday nights at The Corson Building. Here's hoping Moodie can find a solid long-term replacement, especially as she moves forward with her planned expansion, which she says happening in a space directly behind Marjorie's location at the base of the Chloe apartment building.
