For this map, Eater has employed the help of longtime oyster eater and writer, Tallulah Anderson, who also happens to be the daughter of Seattle bar and nightlife magnate, Linda Derschang, who also (probably) loves oysters. Is your favorite oyster happy hour not on this list? Let us know in the comments.
Let's just be clear about one thing: raw food can kill you, but it usually doesn't, especially if you are smart about where you are eating it. Consider yourself disclaimed. Now that we've determined you are an oyster-eating renegade, here are some of the best spots in Seattle to slurp those suckers.
P.S. To help prevent that super awkward, "Oh, I didn't realize you are (on an elimination diet, pregnant, afraid of small forks, etc.)" moment, included with each pick is a few suggestions on what else is good at happy hour. So, no, you won't have to sleep on the couch because you forgot about your girlfriend's potentially fatal shellfish allergy. Because you just remembered how much she likes, um, pasta. Right? Totally. Nice save.
Honorable Mention: Westward
Their daily oyster is "Leck's Choice" at market price. Happy Hour runs from 2:30 to 5pm with Oysters + Nibbles from 5 - 5:30. But technically, since it's market price it's not an oyster happy hour, just a really awesome happy hour with an oyster available.
