Bluebird Microcreamery is opening its new Phinney/Greenwood location today. Last night the storefront was in the midst of the usual flurry of last-minute work, as the photos above can attest. Bluebird owner Josh Reynolds is by no means done with the space. He's planning to decorate the walls and have an open doorway so customers can move back and forth between the shop and neighboring Caffe Vita. A garage door will replace the front windows, and a back patio will connect Bluebird, Caffe Vita, and another neighbor, pizza spot Cornuto.
If coffee's not your thing, the space includes an on-site nanobrewery that will produce both sodas and ales. Both will be used for floats. Growler fills are also on the agenda pending certification. Let's not forget the ice creamery's Fremont location is in the works as well.
