Pyramid Brews in Seattle; Seely Eats a Vegetarian Pizza

SODO—Washington Beer Blog reports that Pyramid will once again brew beer in Seattle. For a few years now, their Sodo brewery has been preserved in glass for visitors to gawk at. However, Pyramid just recruited Kim Brusco, a well-regarded brewmaster, who previously worked at Redhook. [Washington Beer Blog]

INTERNATIONAL DISTRICT— Like Hanna Raskin before him, Seattle Weekly's Editor-in-Chief Mike Seely is intrigued with the rebirth of World Pizza, an institution in pre-gentrified Belltown between 1992 and 1996, which reemerged in the ID a few months ago. Even a self-confessed hard core carnivore like Seely is seduced by World's Field Roast pizza, allowing that it tastes like pepperoni. Of Field Roast, he says, "this devout carnivore will attest to, comes impressively close to the real red circles". [Seattle Weekly]
