SEATTLE COCKTAILS—Seattle Cocktail Week kicks off with several events tonight. Rob Roy hosts a breast-cancer-research fundraiser from 7 to 9 p.m. (with food truck Where Ya at Matt parked out front). Also tonight, Rocky Yee will host a seminar on the "Old Fashioned": 9:30 pm at Little Water Cantina. Tan Vinh of the Seattle Times summarizes the events taking place all over town. [Seattle Times]
RAVENNA— Ravenna Blog snagged the menu for Heidelberg Haus, the German restaurant replacing an Indian restaurant, a one-pager with entrees priced from $9 to $24. No information on an opening date yet, but any day now.
UPPER QUEEN ANNE—Speaking of menu reveals, we have one of our own. On Novemeber 1, Top Chef winner Stephanie Izard and her fellow Food & Wine Best New Chef Jason Franey will collaborate on a four-course dinner featuring recipes from Izard’s newly launched cookbook, Girl in the Kitchen. The event is priced at $200 (which includes dinner, wine, beer and Izard's book), and seats are still available.
