Opening Plans: The Wurst Place Mid-November, Lucky 8 in December

SOUTH LAKE UNION—Exotic sausage shop The Wurst Place's Robert Liptak tells Eater that they will undergo "final city inspections" this week and are hoping to open mid-November. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL—Lucky 8, the Americanized Chinese eatery that will offer bicycle delivery, tells us that they have hired Justin Strand as the chef. Strand most recently worked at the Seattle location of Purple Cafe & Wine Bar. Lucky 8 plans for an early December opening. [EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL—Five Fish Bistro, the fish and chips place planned for Broadway, reports that they are in the early stages, as the previous tenant has just vacated: "We are excited to report UPS has moved to their location at Joule. The demolition phase has commenced." [EaterWire]

EASTLAKE—Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion says that Charles Walpole's Blind Pig Bistro will open November 3. Walpole, formerly of Anchovies & Olives, describes the cuisine as new American. [SeattleMet]
