BAINBRIDGEPuget Sound Business Journal's Glenn Drosendhal tells us that Mora Iced Creamery, who makes their ice cream from scratch without the use of bases, plans to expand and franchise their business. GlennDro says that Mora President Jerry Perez "wants to boost its[Mora's] production capacity from the current three-store level to one supporting 25 stores within three to four months, and up to 50 stores in the next five years. UNIVERSITY DISTRICT"Will Bake For Food", a charity event where bloggers bake goods in exchange for cans of nonperishable food items and cash donations, takes place November 12 from 11 am to 2 pm(or however long they still have baked goods). In 2010, at its inauguration, the event raised $1000 and organizers collected a ton(that's right you math nerds 2,000 pounds) of food to feed the hunry. They are hoping to double those totals this year. [EaterWire]
