EASTLAKE—The rechristened Kristos, Ship Canal Grill, opens November 18, according to their Facebook page. The staff, pool table, and DJs will stay the same, but expect a "new menu and incredible new interior." The remodeling phase took twelve days. [Facebook/EaterWire]
FREMONT—Bluebird Microcreamery says that they will open this Friday 11/18 at 36th and Fremont Ave, adjacent to The Dubliner. Having originated in Capitol Hill in 2009, Bluebird opened a second location Phinney Ridge earlier this year. This will mark the ice cream shop's third location. SOUTH LAKE UNION—With the recent opening of Cactus's fourth location, co-owners and brothers Marc and Bret Chatalas brought in website designer Geoffrey Smith to revamp and update the Cactus brand. Smith explains the process by which he and Nikki Cole decided on new logos and collateral to emphasize that Cactus offers both Southwest and Mexican fare.
