Central District's Kosher Beehive Bakery Closes

A tipster tells us that Kosher certified Beehive Bakery has closed its doors, after just three months. A "For Lease" sign is up, and another sign on the front door reads, "Beehive Bakery will not re-open. Thank you for all your support! Jane." Jane and Ken Collins were the husband and wife owners of the bakery.

This is a twist in what would have been a straight up comeback story. Beehive Bakery occupied the former Philly Cheese Steak building, the site of two previous murders. Central District neighbors have borne high hopes for the corner, with the recent announcement that vegetarian bar, The Neighbor Lady will take over the Thompson's Point of View site.
