Modish Cantonese-fusion restaurant Bako is less than two months old, but it has already replaced its chef. Chris Michel, most recently an executive chef at Ba Bar and Monsoon East, has been helming the Bako kitchen for the last week, according to Bako owner Keeman Wong. Of Michel, Wong said, "I've admired what he's done at Monsoon East and when the opportunity came up for him to join us, I pursued it. He has a great understanding of balancing flavors and the nuances in Asian cooking. He's also a rock star on the wok!" No word yet on Augusto Cadillo's future plans.
