Bar Ferd’nand Coffee Now Open

Bar Ferd'nand Coffee is now open at Bar Ferd'nand in Melrose Market. Hours of operation will be the same as the wine bar, except that coffee and baked treats will be available beginning at 8 am. Initial reports were that this would be an AeroPress-only bar and that it would use Heart Coffee Roasters. However, an employee named Heather tells us that Louie Poore(who had formulated the AeroPress concept) is no longer involved in Bar Ferd'nand Coffee. Stumptown Roasters will provide their beans, and they will serve only espresso drinks. The caffe corretto is a house specialty, combining espresso and grappa for $5.
