Pink Door Celebrates 30th Anniversary

DOWNTOWNPink Door Owner Jacquelina Di Roberto will be celebrating her establishment's 30th anniversary all December long. 30% of proceeds during the month will go to Solid Ground. Look for the festivities to begin Thursday(12/1) "when merry prankster monkeys will serve libations and desserts from the fountain." One of the special libations will be the "MONKEY BIZ,” "a potent mix of gin, absinthe, house pressed orange juice, house pressed pomegranate juice, and a fried banana chip." [EaterWire]

DOWNTOWNPike Brewing Company will host author Christian DeBenedetti also on Thursday(12/1) from 4 until 7:30 pm. DeBenedetti originates from Portland and is in town to promote his book, The Great American Ale Trail: The Craft Beer Lover’s Guide to the Best Watering Holes in the Nation. He will sign copies and talk "all things ale alongside Pike’s head brewer, Dean Mochizuki and Pike Brewing owners, Charles and Rose Ann Finkel." Pike Double IPA, which has been dry hopped with summit hops, will be offered at $3.50 a glass. [EaterWire]
