Seattle Magazine's Allison Scheff checks in on Scott Staples' Zoe, which is expected to open at 14th and East Union in January 2012. After more than a decade in Belltown, Staples decided to relocate Zoe to Capitol Hill earlier this year. Scheff tells us a few things that will distinguish the current Zoe incarnation from the previous one: 1) Plans to use new neighbor Oola Distillery's spirits in cocktails and more bar space; 2) Will host private events, fundraisers and special dinners in the distillery space; 3) Restaurant seats will diminish from 90 to 70 and 4) Will use a wood-fired oven and grill. Scheff says that other Zoe details will be forthcoming - stay tuned.
