West Seattle Gets Exclusive; David Nelson at Tommy Gun

WEST SEATTLE—Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion chats with The Feedback Lounge's Jeff Gilbert about Whale Tail Ale, a beer that was created, brewed and will be sold exclusively in West Seattle. Big Al's Brewing developed the ale, and will be pouring at several neighborhood bars tomorrow at 6 pm thru January 2012. Each participating venue has chosen a local charity that will receive a portion of the proceeds. [Seattle Met]

CAPITOL HILL— Tommy Gun tells Capitol Hill Seattle that they will host a special guest bartender on November 11, to underline the strength of their cocktail program. Il Bistro Bar Manager David Nelson, the bartender who suggested to Brad Parsons that he write about bitters, will be tending bar at Tommy Gun from 5 to 7 pm. Ask him about bitters. [CHS]
