Vessel's Opening Delayed; Surly Live Tweets Top Chef

DOWNTOWN—Looks like Vessel's opening date at it new location at 624 Olive Way has been pushed back to early 2012. We already knew that co-owner and bar manager Jim Romdall recruited Cameo McRoberts to be his chef. BELLEVUE—Tan Vinh notes that some of the longest lines at Bellevue Square have been observed in front of Ruth's Chris Steak House during happy hour. Vinh waits a half an hour for a table but manages to samples the Happy Hour $5 Cheeseburger, which is "made from prime sirloin in a high-end steakhouse." WEST SEATTLE JUNCTION—OutWest Bar holds a benefit Thursday December 15 to benefit Omilero, a nonprofit that provides Nigerian families with safe drinking water using sustainable methods such as clay water-filtration pots.
