DOWNTOWN—Looks like Vessel's opening date at it new location at 624 Olive Way has been pushed back to early 2012. We already knew that co-owner and bar manager Jim Romdall recruited Cameo McRoberts to be his chef. Paul Clarke writes that Romdall has also lured a couple of his former bartenders: Michael Bertrand from Mistral and Kevin Langmack from Knee High Stocking Company. [ShakeStir]
FOOD TV—Our own Surly Gourmand will be live tweeting Top Chef tonight. Follow along and ask him hard questions such as, "Does Acheson's unibrow have a tell when it's fibbing?" [EaterWire]
BELLEVUE—Tan Vinh notes that some of the longest lines at Bellevue Square have been observed in front of Ruth's Chris Steak House during happy hour. Vinh waits a half an hour for a table but manages to samples the Happy Hour $5 Cheeseburger, which is "made from prime sirloin in a high-end steakhouse." The verdict: "It's juicy, with globs of cheese." [Seattle Times]
WEST SEATTLE JUNCTION—OutWest Bar holds a benefit Thursday December 15 to benefit Omilero, a nonprofit that provides Nigerian families with safe drinking water using sustainable methods such as clay water-filtration pots. West Seattle Blog says that the event starts at 6 pm and proceeds will be gathered from an auction, drink specials, and a share of the night's entire take. [WSB]
