The Publican Opening On Hold

Photo: S. Pratt

Beer temple, The Publican opens its doors today in Green Lake, says Washington Beer Blog. As one expects from the folks who brought us beer mecca Brouwer's, The Publican's main draw will be the beer selection. On this score, WBB says to rest assured: "the beer selection is outstanding and each pint is perfectly served." Interestingly, The Publican offers only canned beers, no bottles.

In a nod to prior occupant Bandolero's however, The Publican also reportedly carries over 30 tequilas. It plans to serve brunch all day, every day. According to the blog, expect hashes, Belgian waffles, handcut fries, house-made condiments and sausages and beef ground in-house.

UPDATE: WBB just updated their post to say that The Publican will *not* open today, Apologies for getting your hopes up. Stay tuned for the opening date.
