University of Puget Sound Professor Mike Veseth takes a look at holiday wines sales, and finds d'oh that sparkling wine sales rise sharply during these festive times. In addition though, he notes that Oregon Pinot Noirs and German Rieslings see marked increases as well: "Those are actually the wines that I recommend to my students for festive holiday meals (along with bubbles, of course).
