The Sexton Opens Dec. 16 Dispensing Southern Comfort

New, 1 comment

Southern comfort bar The Sexton plans to open December 16, in the space formerly inhabited by Madame K's Pizza Bistro, says Seattle Met's Allecia Vermillion. According to its website, here's what you can expect from The Sexton: "small-plates, well pours, right light, tables meant for elbows, music that knows your name, floor that knows you're moody, seats out the back, juleps poured pretty as a long Saturday night."

If that's not evocative enough for you, expect a strong cocktail program--helmed by Marley Tomic-Beard, most recently of Golden Beetle. But, the bar will also be approachable: "Sexton should also be a destination for drinkers seeking a shot and a beer or other straightforward libations." According to co-owners Amber Sexton and Ryan Davidson, they will serve up playful Southern food. Menu prices range from $3 to $13.
