U-DISTRICT: The aptly named Nook is now open for breakfast, lunch and late-night on The Ave, slinging comfort food with house-made flourishes to a neighborhood starved for decent non-collegiate restaurants. Chef and co-owner Alex Green has spent time in the kitchens at re:public and Earth and Ocean. [Nosh Pit]

GREEN LAKE: New Italian spot Trattoria Cioppino, set to open mid-May in the former World Wrapps spot across the street from the Green Lake wading pool. There's a Barolo Ristorante alum in the kitchen who promises food "a step-up from chicken parmesan." [My Green Lake]

WEST SEATTLE: Beachside Café opens today in the old Alki Bakery spot and a roster of sandwich and pastry-type offerings. The proprietors also own the nearby Alki Café. [West Seattle Blog]

BELLTOWN:
The new owners of lounge and sex trivia spot Del Rey are reopening the spot as Sarajevo Lounge. [BelltownPeople]
