PIKE PLACE MARKET—Over at lunchtime pasta hideaway Il Corvo, chef Mike Easton has announced he'll be holding a monthly pasta and wine class. Each $125 class focuses on a specific region of Italy. Attendees will learn to make regional pastas, prepare them with the appropriate sauces and learn about the area's wines. Much of this learning happens in drinking form. [EaterWire]

SOUTH LAKE UNION—The seasonal debut of the floating farmers market at Lake Union Park has been pushed back due to our atrocious weather. The farm boat will open for business May 19. Some repairs delayed the boat's original April opening date; it was previously scheduled to commence May 12. [Twitter]

MILL CREEK—Worth-the-drive destination Frost Doughnuts is holding its second "design your dream doughnut" contest. Last year's contest produced the aloha fritter, so start brainstorming. Just no foie gras doughnuts please; those are so passe. [EaterWire]
