Seattle PI reporter Vanessa Ho reports that "a slew of critics" showed up to this morning's hearing on the proposed new rules governing the city's food trucks. Rancho Bravo owner Freddy Rivas, a man who is no stranger to street food, voiced his concerns that mobile food trucks could pop up 50 feet away from a brick-and-mortar restaurant and offer a similar menu without similar overhead costs. The proposed ordinance is slated for a full City Council vote June 27. [Seattle PI]
