Serious Eats scribe Adam Lindsley offers up an unfiltered evaluation of Pioneer Square's BuiltBurger, recent victor in Eater's highly scientific Burger Week faceoff. An admitted burger purist, Lindsley says BuiltBurger treats ground beef as "an empty canvas" upon which ingredients are "melded like colors on a palette to form something that's by turns art or sacrilege, depending on who you talk to." The trio of mini-burgers is a good bet for sampling owner David Makuen's creations, he says, though he wonders "why not just eat the foods these burgers are trying to replicate instead of settling for a bizarre amalgam?"
