Canlis is Hosting a Poker Night

In its latest retro-meets-modern move, Canlis is holding its first-ever poker night...at least the first one open to the public. The Brothers Canlis are inviting people to drink whiskey and play poker with them in the restaurant's penthouse on May 23. And you can bet they don't need you to bring a bag of pretzels and a case of Natty Ice.

Fifty bucks (plus tax and tip) "covers the first dram, munchies, and buy-in." In Canlis parlance, "munchies" means charcuterie, Canlis prawns, teriyaki tenderloin and duck croquettes. Poker night maxes out at 50 people (five tables of 10) and each table will have its own seriously alcoholic prize.
