Korean food's march into the mainstream gets more scrutiny with Hanna Raskin's visit to Oma Bap in Bellevue. The restaurant's fare isn't Korean, it's Korean-inspired, and the customized ordering setup is akin to a "Korean Chipotle." While reinterpreting Korean cuisine for trepidatious Western palates is a noble goal, Raskin is somewhat bummed by the lack of spice, the non-runny egg and Americanized veggie selection. That said, the healthy food at affordable prices makes her say, "Haeng un, Oma Bap." [Seattle Weekly]
