Fun With Maps

food-culture-poster.pngThis subway-style map of "greater food culture" has been circulating today, and responses are a mix of fascination and disdain. And yes, there are a few spelling errors. However Seattle and its environs are nicely represented. Sitka & Spruce chef Matt Dillon, Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, omnipresent restaurateur Tom Douglas, Modernist Cuisine creator Nathan Myhrvold and seafood czar Jon Rowley all have their own stops. Yes, Molly Wizenberg is on there...did you even have to ask? We particularly enjoy the description of Willows Inn chef Blaine Wetzel as "part artist, part ethnobotanist, part exquisitely skilled technician." [HartmanSalt]
