West Seattle Gets Territorial With Its Very Own Beer

West Seattle Blog says The Feedback Lounge has spearheaded a beer designed and brewed especially for the neighborhood. Behold Löwman Bräu, a summery kölsch named for the area's Lowman Beach and produced by Big Al Brewing in White Center.

A handful of West Seattle venues are debuting it on the same night next month. As the official website says, if you want to sample this particular brew, you need to live in, or visit West Seattle, "because this is OUR beer – and we don't wanna share it with just any Ballard."

In addition to Feedback Lounge, you can find it at West 5, Shadowland Mission, Easy Street Records, The Bridge, Locöl, and Big Al Brewing. The first pours happen at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15. The beer will be available by the pint for a limited summer run, and a portion of each purchase will help support a West Seattle charity.

Other bars and venues are welcome to serve Löwman Bräu after July 1. Well, provided they are located in West Seattle, White Center or Georgetown.
