Charles Walpole, who has been running the kitchen at Ethan Stowell's Anchovies & Olives since it opened, is leaving to focus on his own project. But meanwhile he will be moving down the street to Marjorie, hopefully providing a stabilizing presence in a kitchen that's seen its share of turnover lately.
Walpole says June 4 will be his last day at Anchovies & Olives, which opened in 2009 to major buzz and went on to become a James Beard semifinalist and one of Bon Appetit's 10 best new restaurants in America last year. He starts at Marjorie June 7. Meanwhile, Stowell is finalizing a replacement.
