Brian McCracken, Dana Tough and company are keeping quiet about why they recently filed a liquor license application for the address that currently houses Restaurant Zoe. However Eater hears that the duo behind Spur and Tavern Law is planning a new venture in the Belltown space where Scott Staples opened his first restaurant in 2000. The concept is rumored to be pizza and burgers. However given the chefs' penchant for creativity and cocktails, don't expect a typical rendition of these classics.
Restaurant Zoe is conveniently located just around the corner from McCracken and Tough's innovative Spur gastropub, and rumors of Zoe's relocation have been circulating for a while. In October, Staples told Nancy Leson "We are definitely considering leaving Belltown." Whatever the plan, state records show that Zoe's liquor license expires June 30, meaning some sort of announcement should be forthcoming.
