BEACON HILL—Seattle Magazine's Cody Ellerd Bay reports that Bar del Corso's pizza oven completed its trans-Atlantic, transcontinental journey from Italy, only to break the sidewalk in front of the forthcoming restaurant. The six thousand-pound oven crushed the wheels of the forklift through the concrete. She's got lots of pics and the solution that ultimately got the oven safely inside. [Seattle Mag]
BELLTOWN—New Belltown bar the Rabbit Hole opened this week. And while it's from the same people behind Bathtub Gin & Co. don't expect secreted entrances and artful cocktails. This here is a dive bar. [EaterWire]
WEST SEATTLE—Beer and wine bar The Cask opened last summer on California Avenue and now the owners are putting the space up for sale. According to a message sent out to its email list, family obligations have them moving to Florida, where they hope to open a similar spot there. West Seattle Blog also shared the listing. [EaterWire]
MULTIPLE—Dick's is once again giving a free cheeseburger to high school or college grads who show up wearing their cap and gown. The offer lasts through June 21, and given the job market, it wouldn't be a bad idea to pick up a job application while you're there. Hey, the chain does offer some scholarship funds for full- and part-time employees. [EaterWire]
