Little Water Cantina has confirmed that Cameo McRoberts is no longer in the kitchen at the Eastlake Mexican restaurant. McRoberts came on a sous chef before the mega-patioed restaurant's May 5 opening, and was working with chef-owner Shannon Wilkinson.
Co-owner Laura Wilkinson (Shannon's wife) declined to give specifics on the split, saying only that Shannon Wilkinson is still writing the menu and running the kitchen and nothing has changed food-wise. The Wilkinsons found McRoberts via Craigslist (the interview sounded fun), and her experience in the Rick Bayless empire and Kathy Casey Studios seemed a good fit for the restaurant.
