The Stranger undertakes a three-way wiener face-off, with the clear, uncontested, not-even-close winner being the brand new hot dog at Rain Shadow Meats. Granted, butcher Russ Flint's version is in a different class than the other contenders, Hebrew National Kosher franks and the 12-cents-a-wiener Bar-S frank. However "the gains in texture and taste were not at the expense of archetypal hot dog flavor." This highly scientific wiener scrutiny was conducted along the route of last week's Seattle Dyke March.
