Nancy Leson says Edmonds cafe and wine bar Olives closed last weekend. She chronicles the rise and demise of her "hometown favorite," which says it was "the first small-plates restaurant in Snohomish County." Chef-owner Michael Young previously worked at Michael Mina's original restaurant Aqua in San Francisco, alongside RN74 Seattle chef Michelle Retallack, in fact. Nancy even does a little good-natured stumping for Team Mina to hire him back. [Seattle Times]
