Ba Bar Imports Bartender From San Francisco's Bar Agricole

These days Seattle tracks a good bartender's movements as closely as a high-profile chef. Seattle Times cocktail reporter Tan Vinh says that Ba Bar, Eric Banh's forthcoming casual Capitol Hill spot, is getting a high-octane barman from the Bay Area. Daniel Jeffers of San Francisco's Bar Agricole will be mixing drinks when Ba Bar opens later this month. Bar Agricole opened last year to much acclaim, was a semi-finalist for the James Beard Best New Restaurant Award, but ended up taking home an award for design instead.

Over on the food side of things, Josh Hart has come over from Monsoon to head up the kitchen. The early word on the menu is a mix of noodles, rice dishes, pancakes, pastries, roasted birds and such. Ba Bar is shooting for a mid-June opening.
