Seattle's Newest Food Truck; Late Night Bagels at Eltana?

CAPITOL HILL—Looks like Eltana's plans for an after-hours bagel window are progressing. First the wood-fired bagelry expanded its hours to include dinner service, and now this tweet implies those salt bagels and nostril-clearing garlic cream spread could soon be available post-imbibement. MEALS ON WHEELS—Chris Werner says a new food truck, Bigfood, could hit the streets as early as next week. The menu is full of braised meets with Indian influences; the must-have is apparently pork shoulder in Caribbean spices. No set schedule yet, but they've got a few neighborhoods in mind. GEORGETOWN—Soup and salad destination Evergreens is marking its first birthday with 10 days of free grilled cheese samples. From today through next Friday, July 22, the restaurant is giving out the bites from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The samples themselves rotate through the restaurant's menu of grilled cheese sandwiches; one day it's the classic four-cheese "evercheese," the next it might be beef, onion, mushroom, truffle oil and blue cheese.
