Bitterroot BBQ Coming to Ballard

My Ballard dug up some details on a new restaurant called Bitterroot that's moving into the former Acme Rubber Stamp address. The sign hanging in the window reads, "BBQ. Beer. Bourbon. Ballard." All good things.

Per Hanna Raskin, the restaurant comes from husband-and-wife team Hannah and Grant Carter. She'll do front-of-house; he'll man the pit. While Grant Carter's professional experience tends more towards the classic French, his wife tells Raskin he's a meat-smoker by hobby, and the restaurant's pit is currently under construction.

The restaurant is targeting a mid-October open. The Carters also posted a catering menu for your perusal. The last barbecue restaurant to hit the neighborhood, Ballard's Best BBQ, got locals all excited, then closed up in a hurry. That space is now Paratii Craft Bar.
