BALLARD—Hey, look, another restaurant is adding retail! The Geeky Swedes say Ristorante Picolinos is opening an onsite deli and bakery. Patrons can buy fresh-baked bread, cured meat, fresh pasta, sauce, olive oil, wines, and some sandwiches. All this goes operational next month. [My Ballard]

CAPITOL HILL—It's Free Fry Friday once again at Pike Street Fish Fry. And this shop is awfully good at frying things. From 5-7 p.m. the fries are free, the New Belgium beer is $2 and the lines are long. [EaterWire]
