BELLTOWN—Scott Carsberg's restaurant Bisato has launched a happy hour. Sadly, you can't get a discount on the halibut rillette, but the drinks-only happy hour list includes two beers, a trio of wines, well drinks and two featured cocktails for $5 apiece. Happy hour runs from 5 to 7 p.m. [EaterWire]
BALLARD—Chef Maria Hines tweeted today that Golden Beetle is adding a beef and lamb gyro to the menu. Hanna Raskin followed up and reports that the gyro is "burger-esque" and is meant to pair with the restaurant's ridiculously good za'atar French fries. The gyro arrives this weekend. BALLARD—Sadly, Seattle is fielding zero contestants for the new season of Top Chef Just Desserts. But Bastille GM and wine director James Lechner is headed to San Francisco next month as one of six finalists for Top|Somm. The Guild of Sommeliers administers the competition, which is similar to the Master Sommeliers' Advanced Sommelier exam. Lechner will compete August 7 for the Robert Mondavi trophy. [EaterWire]
