BEACON HILLTravelers Thali House has announced via its newsletter that it will open softly July 29: "We will begin a 'soft' opening with limited hours during the end of July followed by a blow-out Grand Opening the first weekend in August." The grand opening is planned for August 5 from 12 to 9 p.m. In contrast to the Capitol Hill location, which offers a daily thali plate, the Beacon Hill operation will offer a range of vegetarian thalis, as well as beer and wine. MAPLE LEAF—According to Maple Leaf Life, Flying Squirrel Pizza has pushed back its opening date to late August. The restaurant attributed the delay to "lots of city code approvals to go through with the new build-out." Maple Leaf will be Flying Squirrel's third outpost; its siblings are in Seward Park and Ballard. They are known for their hand tossed local and organic when possible pizzas, NY-style crust and a well-curated beer selection [Maple Leaf Life]

CAPITOL HILL— Barman Jamie Boudreau is hard at work transforming the former Licorous location into Canon, which he describes as a whiskey and bitters emporium. Canon expects to be part of Capitol Hill's late night drinking scene, stating on Facebook that they will serve food until 1:30 am. The bar plans to open later this summer. [Facebook, EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL— Via Twitter, Blue Moon Burgers says that they are "a week-ish away from opening" in their Broadway location on Capitol Hill. As we have previously reported, Blue Moon will join Qdoba, Mod Pizza and Saizen Sushi on the ground floor of the Joule Building at 523 Broadway East. This will be Blue Moon's third Seattle location. Their other sites are in South Lake Union and Fremont. [Twitter/EaterWire]

CAPITOL HILL— Finally, specialty burger shop Li'l Woody's is pushing things back a bit; they're talking the first week of August. As you may remember, Li'l Woody's is a burger joint and the latest addition to impresario Marcus Lalario's Capitol Hill cartel(part owner of HG Lodge, Captain Black's and investor in Molly Moon's, Havana Social Club and The Saint). Among other deliciousness, Li'l Woody's will serve Painted Hill beef burgers, fries, Molly Moon shakes, beer and wine. [EaterWire]
