Remember Altura, the new restaurant that appeared on Broadway with little other information other than its planned existence? Over at the biz journal, Glenn Drosendahl (referred to henceforth as GlennDro) says chef Nathan Lockwood is leaving The Ruins to open Altura, along with his wife, Rebecca. The plan: "seasonal Italian cuisine with an emphasis on locally grown and foraged products."

Altura will have an open kitchen and counter seating, essential elements to opening a restaurant in Seattle these days. The Lockwoods are also planning a chef's table. The chef's background includes Hubert Keller's Fleur de Lys and Newberg's Allison Inn. He's been at Queen Anne supper club The Ruins since September 2010. And awww, he and Rebecca met at the Dick's on Capitol Hill.
