Saizen Sushi Opens, Giving Broadway Even More Sushi

Saizen Sushi opened this week on Broadway, adding yet another sushi restaurant to a street already heavily populated with raw fish purveyors. Saizen quietly moved in to the Joule Building, by Qdoba, MOD Pizza and, a few doors down, the upcoming Blue Moon Burgers location (which, by the way, is shooting for a July 19 opening).

Saizen is open for lunch and dinner and has a sushi bar and set menu in addition to the long, black conveyor belt that shuttles rolls, sashimi, nigiri and salads around the room. It's not the only conveyor belt in the neighborhood; last year Genki Sushi moved in further south on Broadway, into another giant apartment complex, the Broadway Building. The street also has its share of non-conveyor sushi options, including Aoki and Hana.
