Pop-Up Chef Erik Jackson Moving to The Coterie Room

And now from Chris Werner, an interesting little tidbit of the sort that Eater enjoys: Erik Jackson, the chef doing the Monday night pop-ups at Volunteer Park Cafe, is cutting that endeavor short to work at new McToughen project The Coterie Room. The hiring isn't a random one; Jackson worked with chefs Brian McCracken and Dana Tough previously in the kitchen at Spur.

While working at Tom Douglas's Cuoco, Jackson has also been running his A Square Meal pop-up bimonthly at Volunteer Park Cafe sine June. Apparently the last two dinners on the schedule, August 29 and September 12, aren't happening. Volunteer Park Cafe owner Ericka Burke says she's still open to hosting such dinners to help out up-and-coming chefs.

Meanwhile, Coterie Room is planning to open this fall in the former Restaurant Zoe space, serving brunch, lunch and dinner.
