Tacoma-based wood-fired pizza chain The Rock is making its first move into Seattle. A rep has confirmed that a location is going in on Roy Street near Third Avenue, near Seattle Center. No word yet on the opening timeline.
The chain has 12 locations scattered across the region, from Vancouver, Wash. to Mill Creek and even in Canada. The original opened in Tacoma in 1995. In addition to pizzas, The Rock does pastas, burgers, sandwiches and such. Locations also offer a list of "rocktails," which, according to the website, are "served in a freakin' bucket."
