GIG HARBOR—Adorable bearded man and Top Chef shoulda-won finalist Kevin Gillespie will be at the Gig Harbor Food & Wine Festival this weekend. The Atlanta-based chef is competing in a cook-off on Saturday against chef Thad Lymon of Brix 25 restaurant in Gig Harbor. [Seatlest]

DOWNTOWN—The Library Bistro at the Alexis Hotel will begin serving lunch August 15, after a roughly two-year hiatus. Chef Tiffany Layco's dining room will serve lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Both the weekend brunch schedule and weekday breakfast service remains the same. [EaterWire]

GREEN LAKE, U DISTRICT—Coffee roaster Zoka has debuted a new coffee blend named in honor of Carly Henley, a UW student who committed suicide last year. She was a regular customer at Zoka's U District location. Part of the proceeds go to the International Justice Mission. [My Green Lake]

ON THE WATER—As you may have heard, the Blue Angels are in town. Waterways has some special barbecue lunch cruises scheduled for this weekend, when the elite Navy flight demo squadron roars through the sky for Seafair.
