Firefighters Make Quick Work of Caffe Vita Rooftop Fire

New, 1 comment

A small fire broke out behind the scenes at the Pike Street Caffe Vita this afternoon, and was rapidly extinguished by Seattle firefighters (maybe the same crew that inaugurated Blue Moon Burgers last week?). Per usual, Capitol Hill Seattle was all over the fire, as was The Stranger. A fire chef told SLOG that the flames "probably resulted from an incinerator affiliated with the roasting operation behind the retail front." The upshot: minimal roof damage. SLOG says the popular coffee shop could even reopen later today, and neighboring businesses like Big Mario's are open.
