Hanna Raskin offers up a basic equation to help diners calculate whether they are lingering too long at a table, thus irritating the bejeezus out of servers and patrons waiting to be seated. During her waitress days, "I figured every dollar spent bought a minute at the table." Even adjusting for inflation, Raskin says the math is sound. "Diners who've shelled out $30 for a pair of entrees haven't really purchased two hours of table time." [Seattle Weekly]
