Capitol Hill mini-mogul Marcus Lalario will open his new burger shop, Li'l Woody's, next week. The menu shows impressive restraint with just a few "woody" puns, including the good mornin' woody breakfast sandwich. Lalario and chef Joram Young developed a menu of classics, as well as specialty sandwiches. The burgers themselves boast some nice touches, like chopped up toppings so customers aren't left tooth-wrestling with slippery pickle slices and recalcitrant onions.
The interior, seen in plywood phase here, is now a sunny orange, with plenty of reclaimed wood and burger shack-style flourishes. Next week's burger wave will continue with opening of the latest Blue Moon Burgers location just a few blocks away on Broadway in the Joule building.
